Celebrate Recovery
We believe in Christ ability to transform lives and make all things new!
At The Cross Murrieta believes in making a commitment to walk with people through their hurts, hang-ups, and character defects.
We believe that Christ came to bind up the broken hearted and that upon salvation through Jesus Christ the Lord begins a process of sanctification, healing, and ultimately glorification. The apostle Paul says in Philippians 1:3-6, "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (NKJV)
At The Cross Murrieta facilitates a Celebrate Recovery Step-Study for Men and Women on Sunday @ 6pm (Men and Women Meet Seperately)
Kingdom Kids
Kingdom Kids mission is to equip the kids with a strong bibilical foundation to stand in truth in this generation. Our goal is to help the kids develop an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and cultivate an increasingly growing hunger for God's Word. We believe that Gods word is supernatural seed that is planted deep in a childs heart and we trust that God will bring the growth in their lives.
Matthew 19:14 (NKJV) But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Outreach
We believe that Jesus came to seek and save the lost, therefore we as Christ followers, endeavor to live out this mission through various outreaches with the intent to establish relationships and disciple. Our hope is to cultivate laborers for the "harvest field' because we believe this fulfills the great commission.
Matthew 28:19 (NKJV) "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, babtizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." AMEN
Gathering together through Holidays and Events.
We see any event or holiday as an opportunity for us to get together. Spending time together is one of the ways that we invest in our relationship, edify eachother, and grow in brotherly love.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NKJV) And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching".
At The Cross Murrieta, where authenticity promotes healing, transformation, and a safe place to find community.
At The Cross Murrieta is a church devoted to cultivating genuine, life-giving relationships with Jesus Christ and with one another. Through their own journey of faith, Pastor Paul and Melissa Marin have become deeply convinced that every person needs a safe place to be real—to be seen, known, and loved without pretense.
Life has a way of reshaping us through trauma, work, relationships, titles, and labels—so many forces that can distort or diminish our true identity. At The Cross Murrieta, we desire to be an instrument in the Lord’s hands, helping people be reconciled to God and firmly established as His chosen people, set apart for every good work He has prepared. (2 Timothy 2:20-22)
To walk this path, we must first acknowledge the weakness of our fallen nature and our complete dependence on God—for apart from Him, we can do nothing. The Christian journey is a progressive, ongoing pursuit, beautifully reflected in Philippians 3:13–16 (NKJV):
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.”
We invite you to join us as we press forward together, growing in grace, truth, and the love of Christ.

Titus 2:11-12 (NKJV)
We Believe that You are Family
A Church That Lives as Family
Jesus taught that true family is found in those who follow God’s will. When told His mother and brothers were seeking Him, He replied:
“Who is My mother and who are My brothers? … For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”
— Matthew 12:48–50
At The Cross Church Murrieta, takes these words to heart. We are a family-oriented church striving to live authentically, intimately, and compassionately, following Christ’s law of love—carrying one another’s burdens and walking together in faith. (Galatians 6:2)
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, then you are family.
We don’t just believe it—we live it.
From the very beginning, the Church set the example for us. In the Book of Acts, Scripture says the early believers “continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” This is the pattern we aim to follow as we do life together in genuine fellowship.
Acts 2:42-47, "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Come be a part of a family!
What We Believe
Statement of Faith
The Scriptures Inspired
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, it is infallible, (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Pet. 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12).
We believe in the Triune God
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM,” and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, by simultaneously existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isa. 43:10, 11; Matt. 28:19).
Man’s Fall and Redemption
Man is depraved, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness.” Man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Gen. 1:26-31; Gen. 3:17; Rom. 5:12-21).
The Salvation of Man
Conditions of Salvation
Belief in Jesus Christ -Jesus is the way the truth and the life (Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; Rom. 10:13-15; Luke 24:47).
Evidences of Salvation
The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of holiness (1 Thess. 4:7, 2 Tim.1:9).
The Transforming Power of Jesus Christ
We believe that no one is beyond redemption and that Christ is able to liberate all who come to Him from a sinful lifestyle. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 2 Corinthians 5:17)
The Promise of the Father
All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the Promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. With it comes the infilling of power for life and service, and the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 1 Cor. 12:1-31). This experience may be distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth (Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9).
Sanctification Process
By the power of the Holy Spirit we strive to obey the command, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Sanctification is the will of God for all believers and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word (Heb. 12:14; 1 Pet. 1:15, 16; 1 Thess. 5:23, 24; 1 John 2:6).
The Church
The church is the holy Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (I Thess. 2:4)
Ministry
Divinely called and Scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose: (1) The evangelization of the world, and (2) The edification of the Body of Christ (Mark 16:15, 20; Eph. 4:11-13).
Marriage
God created marriage. It is a covenant made between one biological man at birth and one biological woman at birth that makes them one (Gen 2: 22,24; Matt 19: 5-6).
Divine Healing
Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of all believers (Isa. 53:4, 5; Matt. 8:16, 17; Mark 16:18; John 5:14).
The Blessed Hope
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church (1 Thess. 4:16; Rom. 6:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Cor. 15:51,52).
The Millennial Reign of Jesus
The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth are Scriptural promises and our hope (2 Thess. 1:7; Rev. 19:1l-16; Rom. 11:25; Rev. 20:l-7).
The Lake of Fire
The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Rev. 19:20; 20:10-15).
The New Heavens and New Earth
We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21: l).
Ordinances
Baptism in Water
The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed (as commanded in the Scriptures) by all that have repented of their sins and in their hearts have believed on Christ as their Savior and Lord. In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they have also been released to walk with Him in newness of life (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4).
The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements, bread and fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing in a memorial to His suffering and death, and a prophecy of His second coming, and is enjoined to all believers “until He comes” (John 6:48,51,53-57; Luke 22:19,20; 2 Pet. 1:4; 1 Cor. 11:25).

We exist to create a family oriented church centered on our faith in Jesus Christ.
Meet our staff
Paul and Melissa Marin Senior Pastors
Paul and Melissa are an example of a life transformed by the powerful blood of Jesus Christ shed "At The Cross" of Calvary. Both Paul and Melissa are proud graduates of the Teen Challenge program, and graduates of the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute where the call of God was realized in both of their lives. Upon completion of the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute Paul and Melissa pursued their call through various opportunities to serve at-risk populations fulfilling the Call of God to "go to the highways and byways" to seek and save the lost. After decades of ministry experience God launched Paul and Melissa into a new journey through the pioneering of At The Cross Murrieta. Paul and Melissa's greatest passion in life is to continue to fulfill the great commission of making disciples by opening their home and lives to invest in those God has called them to impact.
Jack and Heather Mccarthy-Melchor Worship Leaders
Jack and Heather's union was a result of answered prayer. Being a blended family God has established their home on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. Heather is also a proud graduate of the ministry of Teen Challenge where she was discipled and given the tools to cope with lifes challenges through Christ. Jack in his pursuit to develop an authentic realtionship with Christ found the support he needed through the intimate setting of At The Cross Murrieta. Through much prayer birthed in the desire to be a part of "a body" of believers, God led Jack, Heather, and the kids to At The Cross Murrieta. 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it". From the inception of At The Cross Murrieta, Jack and Heather have demonstated their commitment and resolve to be a part of the church's growth. Heather has a passion for worship and readily made herself available to serve on the worship team, in an effort to serve together, Jack stepped up to learn the Cajon. While endeavoring to establish a godly home and serve in the ministry, Jack and Heather's greatest desire is to lead people to "worship God in Spirit and in Truth" (John 4:24).
Christine Wright Worship Leader
Though Christine grew up in the catholic faith God divinely orchestrated events that led Christine to biblical truth that pointed Christine to salvation through Christ alone. Excited about her new found faith in 1983, Christine began her journey of growth and maturation. In early childhood Christine developed a love for music and a passion for singing. By the age of 17 Christine found herself in her first band, "Genesis". Little did she know that this would be the beggining of God's call into the ministry. In Proverbs 18:16 the bible says, "A mans gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men." After raising 3 children, and fulfilling God's purpose for her in her family God opened the door for her to begin utilizing her gift of singing in the ministry. Currently Christine serves At The Cross Murrieta through worship, helps, hospitality, and being a spiritual mom to many.
Melissa Marin Children's Pastor
Children’s Pastor, At The Cross Murrieta - Kingdom Kids
Melissa Marin serves as the Children’s Pastor for Kingdom Kids with a heartfelt passion for discipling the next generation. Her calling is to help children know God deeply, become rooted and established in His Word, and develop a faith strong enough to stand against the influences of the world. Melissa believes that Scripture forms the foundation for a child’s spiritual resilience, equipping them to “stand firm in the faith” and walk in truth from a young age.
She carries Jesus’ heart for children—His command not to hinder them but to lead them to Him. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them” (Matthew 19:14). Melissa also takes seriously Jesus’ warning about causing little ones to stumble: “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble…” (Mark 9:42). Her ministry is shaped by a commitment to guard, guide, and nurture each child’s walk with Christ.
Through teaching, discipleship, and creating a Christ-centered environment, Melissa’s deepest desire is for every child to know the love of Jesus, grow strong in Scripture, and be equipped to stand boldly in God’s truth.
